Excellent experience from start to finish. They were professional, responsive, and transparent throughout the process. I needed to replace an older leaking water heater, and they took the time to evaluate everything on site, explain my options clearly, and answer all of my questions. I was out of town while trying to coordinate the project, and they were very accommodating with scheduling. They worked with my timeline and fit the installation in between two trips, which I really appreciated. The installation, done by Jim, was smooth and very well done. He upgraded me to a 50-gallon Bradford White unit at the same quoted price, installed a new expansion tank, shutoff valve, and pan, and handled the permit process as well. The workmanship was clean and professional, and the final result looks great. I also appreciated how respectful and easy to work with they were throughout the whole job. Highly recommend if you’re looking for honest, knowledgeable plumbers who do quality work and provide excellent customer service.

I am ELATED with Dalmatian Plumbing and with my onsite Professional Plumber, Jim. I called around 8am this morning and received a text round 9:26am confirming my person was in the way. Jim was friendly, courteous and used shoe covers inside my home. He listened tentatively, asked engaging questions to help identify the problem and a plan. I was impressed he took a holistic approach not just about my leak, but details of its impact on the house water system. He confirmed the plan, gave me the cost breakdown, and after approval, initiated the work. He engaged me as needed in the process with updates and patient with my elementary questions. I am so happy with Jim’s work, solving my leaks and organized the chaos of plumbing lines. Thanks to my Plumber Whisper, Jim.

My service person was Chris Hank. He was very knowledgeable and great personality. Money well spent; I highly recommend this company. Before I finished typing this review he actually came back and took the trash that another company left behind.

We had a main sewer line stoppage and needed help fast, and Dalmatian Plumbing absolutely delivered. They came out immediately, which was a huge relief given how urgent the situation was. The job involved clearing the blockage through the water closet, pulling and resetting the toilet, and running a sewer camera to fully diagnose the issue. Everything was handled efficiently and with real professionalism. They took the time to explain what was going on, showed us the camera results, and made sure the problem was completely resolved before wrapping up. What really stood out was their attention to detail and respect for our home. The toilet was reinstalled perfectly, everything was left clean, and there were no shortcuts taken. On top of that, their pricing was very fair for the amount of work involved, which made the whole experience even better. If you’re dealing with a tough plumbing issue and want someone reliable, knowledgeable, responsive, and reasonably priced, I highly recommend Dalmatian Plumbing. Great service from start to finish.

Why Sewer Line Repair Matters

Your sewer line plays a crucial role in your plumbing system, carrying wastewater safely away from your home. When it fails, it's not just an inconvenience, it's a serious health and safety issue. Signs of a damaged sewer line include:

  • Persistent drain clogs throughout your home

  • Gurgling sounds from toilets or drains

  • Foul sewage odors indoors or outdoors

  • Soggy or unusually green patches in your yard

  • Sewage backups into tubs, sinks, or toilets

If you notice any of these warning signs, it's important to contact a licensed professional right away. Delaying repairs can lead to costly property damage and hazardous living conditions.

Once we understand the issue, we provide you with a full explanation of your options and an upfront estimate.

  • Customized repair plans tailored to your home and budget

  • Traditional excavation performed safely when replacement is necessary

Rooter Service for Atlanta Sewer Lines

Powered rooter service across metro Atlanta, backed by camera diagnostics that confirm the line is clear.

A rooter is a powered cable machine used to cut through stubborn clogs and tree roots inside drain and sewer lines. For Atlanta sewer lines, rooter service is usually the first step when a backup, gurgling drains, or a sewage odor signals trouble. Our licensed technicians clear the line with a sectional cable machine or hydro jetter, then run a camera through it to confirm full flow and check for cracks, root intrusion, or pipe damage that a rooter alone won't solve. If the line clears and looks healthy, you're done. If the camera shows a deeper problem, we walk you through your repair or replacement options before any further work continues.

Common Sewer Line Problems We Solve

Sewer issues often develop gradually, and by the time symptoms appear, the line may already be compromised. Here are some of the most frequent causes we encounter in Atlanta homes:

1. Tree Root Intrusion

Tree roots naturally seek out water and nutrients, making your sewer line an easy target. Even the most minor cracks can attract roots, which eventually expand and break through the pipe. Left unchecked, this can cause severe blockages and even lead to the collapse of sections of the line.

2. Corroded Pipes

Older homes with cast iron pipes are especially prone to corrosion. Over the decades, exposure to water, oxygen, and soil minerals can weaken the pipe walls, leading to cracks and leaks.

3. Heavy Scale Buildup

Hard water minerals and debris gradually accumulate inside pipes, restricting the flow of water. Severe buildup not only causes backups but also puts pressure on the line, increasing the risk of breakage.

4. Pipe Breaks and Deterioration

Aging pipes eventually deteriorate due to natural wear, shifting soil, or heavy use. Collapsed sections and missing pipe segments require professional repair or full replacement.

5. Incorrect Installation or Materials

Sometimes the problem isn't age — it's installation. Poorly installed lines or outdated materials can fail prematurely, leading to ongoing headaches until properly replaced.

Sewer Line Repair and Replacement Technique

Every property is unique, so we offer a range of solutions tailored to your specific needs.

Traditional Sewer Line Replacement

If your sewer line is beyond repair — for example, if it has collapsed or deteriorated — traditional excavation may be required. Our professional team is trained to safely dig, access, and replace the damaged section or entire line as needed. Although more invasive, this option is sometimes the only reliable way to resolve the issue completely. We work carefully to minimize disruption, complete the project as efficiently as possible, and restore your property to its original condition. Traditional sewer line replacement remains a trusted solution.

  • Avoiding grease, wipes, and foreign objects in drains

  • Scheduling periodic camera inspections for older lines

  • Maintaining trees and landscaping near sewer pipes

  • Installing backwater valves to prevent municipal backups

By being proactive, you can extend the lifespan of your system and reduce costly emergencies.

A

Yes. But in many cases, the trench method is required to repair or replace the line and can be done without extensive excavation.

Q What causes sewer backups?

A

Backups are commonly caused by tree roots, buildup, pipe corrosion, or heavy rainfall overloading the system.
